Fly or drive into Orlando (MCO). The best time to arrive is between around Noon-3PM. However, if you
can save a substantial amount on your flight by arriving a few hours earlier or later, then do so. If you are driving,
please let us know as soon as possible if you'd like us to make arrangements for your car.
Call 407-857-9215 for a free airport shuttle that will pick you up and take you to
La Quinta Inn Orlando Airport West,

Equipment shakedown. We look through ALL your stuff and try to economize the weight
you carry while making sure you're prepared for the elements.
Go to Bass Pro Shop to get last minute equipment if necessary

All the items that you won't bring on the trail will be set aside and put in storage
Free breakfast in hotel
Shuttle to Ocala National Forest, SR 19, 10 miles South of SR 40. We may
spot a car at Juniper Springs Recreation Area which will take about an hour
Hike 2.7 miles to Buck Lake.
Hike 0.7 miles around Buck Lake. Fill all water containers here as we will be dispersed camping in
an undesignated spot that may or may not have water
Hike 2.0 miles to Farles Lake
Camp at or near Farles Lake Camground

Pack up camp
We begin today with a half-day canoe trip
from the crystal clear, year round 70 degree Juniper Springs headwaters. Canoeing experience
helpful, but not necessary. At the end of the canoe run, we'll be picked up and transported back to camp.

Hike 5.0 miles to the Northen tip of Hopkins Prairie. Surface water available here.

Hike 1.7 miles to Salt Spring Blue Blaze Trail
Hike 3.1 miles to CR 314.
Hike 4.2 miles to the Western Corridor of the Florida Trail.
Hike 0.5 miles to the blue blazed spur trail and set up a dispersed camp.
Day-Hike 1.0 round-trip miles to the 88 grocery store at Lake Kerr, just because. Fill up on
water here.
Miles today: 10.5. Total Miles to date: 41.0

Hike 3.2 miles to Grassy Pond Campsite.
Hike 4.1 miles to Lake Delancy Campground.

This is the official end of the trip. You are welcome to spend the night at
the hotel, however if you drove and would like to get on the road or if you flew
and would like to schedule a late flight (or a red-eye if
this is a West Coast trip) you can definitely do so.
